Registration Process for Merit Badge Counselors<\/h2>\n

There is no fee for becoming a merit badge counselor. You need only to submit the\u00a0Merit Badge Counselor application form and a BSA Adult Application Form upon initial\u00a0registration (Position code 42.)<\/div>\n

For subsequent years, Counselor registration does not require a BSA Adult Application\u00a0Form but, you must submit confirmation of your continued interest in serving as a merit\u00a0badge counselor on an annual basis.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

New Merit Badge Counselors:<\/h4>\n

  1. Complete the BSA adult application and a MBC counselor application. On the adult\u00a0application, where it asks for position code use \u201c42\u201d and for position use \u201cMerit\u00a0Badge Counselor\u201d. Adult applications are in the Scout hut or may be found at: \u00a0\u00a0http:\/\/www.scouting.org\/filestore\/pdf\/524-501A.pdf<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Complete the Merit Badge Counselor form, also at the Scout hut or via this link:\u00a0https:\/\/www.troop39.net\/links_resources\/forms\/NEGA_MB_Counselor_Registration.pdf<\/a><\/li>\n
